Ten Thousand Villages
Ten Thousand Villages works with over 100 artisan groups in more than 30 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America to bring you fair trade jewelry, home decor, gifts and more. As one of the world's oldest and largest fair trade organizations, they build long-term relationships with artisans that are based on mutual understanding and respect. Fair trade enables artisans to earn a fair wage and provides the opportunity for a better quality of life.
TEN THOUSAND VILLAGES VISION AND MISSION STATEMENT
Our Vision
One day all artisans in the developing countries will earn a fair wage, be treated with dignity and respect and be able to live a life of quality.
Our Mission
Ten Thousand Villages provides vital, fair income to Third World people by marketing their handicrafts and telling their stories in North America. Ten Thousand Villages works with artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed. This income helps pay for housing. Ten Thousand Villages is a nonprofit program of Mennonite Central Committee.

Last year, a percentage of the money spent at every event went to The Gathering Place. We helped raise over $5,000 to help women and children. This year, BarLympics is the main event that will support our fundraising effort. Join us on Saturday, October 22nd.
