What are the goals of The Gathering Place?

1) Provide a safe environment and intervention services so women in crisis can find stability; 2) Provide services and programs that facilitate overall well-being and self-sufficiency; and 3) Provide a community of acceptance and support that encourages women who are disenfranchised to realize their individual and collective potential.

Lucky Strike

lucky_strike_web2003 was the end of an era for the iconic Hollywood Star Lanes, an institution that served Hollywood for 43 years and was home to the filming of "The Big Lebowski". In March it was leveled to make way for a school. But just as the door to one icon closed, another opened.

In April of that year Lucky Strike Lanes debuted its first location in Hollywood. Wanting to pay homage to its predecessor, Lucky Strike purchased Lane #7 from Star Lanes and made it Lucky Strike Hollywood's bar. It's been good luck ever since. Last year, a percentage of the money spent at every event went to The Gathering Place. We helped raise over $5,000 to help women and children. This year, BarLympics is the main event that will support our fundraising effort. Join us on Saturday, October 22nd.
