What are the goals of The Gathering Place?

1) Provide a safe environment and intervention services so women in crisis can find stability; 2) Provide services and programs that facilitate overall well-being and self-sufficiency; and 3) Provide a community of acceptance and support that encourages women who are disenfranchised to realize their individual and collective potential.

logo_canvascocktails_webAs a child, I always enjoyed exploring the many different aspects of art. My childhood love of drawing and coloring expanded into a passion for painting, which led to a fine arts degree from Auburn University. I furthered my painting experience at the Lorenzo de Medici School of Art in Florence, Italy.
Upon graduation I developed a line of hand painted pottery, brittneycate, which can be found in retail boutiques all over the United States and on our website: www.brittneycate.com.

Looking for something a little different, I moved to Denver 3 years ago and started working as a social director for many different events.

Dedicated to combine my love for art and love of people, I came up with Canvas and Cocktails. It is my objective to bridge the gap between fun art and fine art. I look forward to helping you relax, have fun, and go home with a piece of art you can say is "uniquely yours".

How Can I Support The Gathering Place?

Last year, a percentage of the money spent at every event went to The Gathering Place. We helped raise over $5,000 to help women and children. This year, BarLympics is the main event that will support our fundraising effort. Join us on Saturday, October 22nd.
